Nutrition JD is a Manchester City Centre based nutrition consultancy founded by performance nutritionist Josh Dyson, providing customised nutrition services to professional and amateur athletes, exercise and gym enthusiasts, as well as individuals who are simply looking to improve their health and body composition.
We now live in a time of greater awareness of our health, nutrition and fitness. With this comes increased daily information from numerous sources often with conflicting messages – who are you to believe or trust? Nutrition JD is passionate about ensuring that all our nutrition services are guided by a continual scientific research-informed approach, with numerous years already invested in ensuring an educational background to provide credible, effective and safe nutrition support. What works within a real-world setting allowing our clients to optimally perform and achieve their specific goals is also of great importance. Previous applied performance nutrition experience has been gained working with numerous high performance athletes from a variety of sports at academy, collegiate and professional levels. Such a commitment to ensuring the appropriate knowledge and applied experience is recognised by our graduate accreditation held with the Sport & Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr).

Upon comprehensive analysis of current dietary intake, advice and strategies shall be developed to optimise nutritional intake through food consumption. Although, in certain circumstances evidence-based supplements may play a role in aiding health, performance or goal attainment, the primary focus is on optimising nutritional intake.
All nutrition advice and strategy development is specifically unique to the individual incorporating their specific goals, schedule and personal preference.
All advice and strategies developed will be informed by scientific research to ensure that the most appropriate advice is delivered to clients.
Although all advice and strategies are informed by scientific research it is important that such knowledge is practically applied to the individual in line with their unique goals or performance requirements.
It is important to have an on-going support network to aid progress, provided continued advice, re-evaluation and assist behavioural change. Support is continually available for all clients with options for in-person or remote (online) support. Additionally, educational resources created for our clients provide further assistance and support.
